The only Section of this Act which, in order to comply with the request contained in this Circular, it would be necessary to introduce into this Colony is section 12. This Section, with a slight exception, was at the request of the Vice Admiral Commanding the Station, embodied in an Ordinance passed last Session.
The exception above mentioned refers to that part of the Section which punishes any one approaching or hovering about any of H.M's. ships for the purpose of aiding or assisting any officer, seaman, or marine in H.M's. service to desert or improperly absent himself from his ship or vessel.
